Donut Empire · last updated 3 October 2026

Donut Empire is a browser game. There is no account, no sign-up and no email address. You can play the whole thing without telling us anything about yourself.

What stays on your device

The game saves your progress in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device and we cannot read it:

Clearing your browser's site data for this site erases all of it, permanently. There is no backup.

What we send to our server

When you finish a run, one row is sent to our database so the leaderboard can exist. That row is:

That is the entire row. Nothing else about you is sent, and nothing is sent while a run is in progress.

The nickname is free text that you type. It appears on a public leaderboard that anyone can see, so please do not use your real name, your school, or anything you would not want a stranger to read.

What we do not do

Server logs

Like any website, the services that host the game and the leaderboard (Railway and Supabase) record ordinary request information, including IP addresses, as part of running their servers. We do not use those logs to identify anyone and we do not combine them with anything above.

Playing on other sites

Donut Empire may also appear on game portals such as Poki. When you play it there, that portal is the one serving the page and showing any adverts, and their privacy policy covers what they collect. This policy only covers playdonutempire.com.

Children

The game is not directed at children under 13 and asks for no personal information from anyone. If you believe a child has entered personal information as a nickname, write to us and we will remove that row.

Removing your data

To erase what is on your device, clear your browser's site data for this site. To have a leaderboard row removed, email the address below with the nickname and roughly when you played, and we will delete it.
